Aylsham Lane

An entertainer's paradise

Initially contacted to price on a concept they already had, we suggested possible changes and were asked to prepare a concept based on these suggestions. The primary request was to incorporate a large entertainment area in the design.

We designed the environment, sitting the main patio in the area on the section that gets the last of the evening sun. The spa area and shower are close by which allow you to have a quick clean down before heading inside. An urn water feature centres the patio. The surface chosen by the client was liquid colour texture and has been finished with a colour that matches the interior colour palette. A mowstrip encompasses the lawn. The garden seat lines up with the formal lounge which creates a focal point across the yard. An exposed aggregate concrete plinth with an urn on top creates a feature to the front of the house.

To ensure sustainability and a long lifetime we used our reinforcing system with 665 mesh, D12 steel starter rods and D12 perimeter and centre rods. Installed prior to the Christchurch earthquakes, it suffered absolutely no damage.
